Belinda joined M&S as Style Director in 2012 and is on the Board of the M&S Archive (CIC). She has held the positions of CEO of Debenhams (2000-2003) and CEO of Jaeger (2004-2011).

Her retail career began at Harrods as a graduate trainee, followed by roles in fashion buying and merchandising. In 1985 her career took her to Debenhams where she held a number of senior positions in buying and merchandise management in men’s, women’s, accessories and children’s. She was appointed to the Debenhams board as Trading Director in 1998 prior to becoming Chief Executive in 2000.

Belinda holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Business from The University of Wales, where she is also a Fellow of the University.  She is a Fellow of the City and Guilds of the London Institute.

Belinda chaired the board of Alex and Alexa, the luxury children’s online retailer, from 2000-2012.
